In 1987 we started a food and beverage manufacture business which consisted mainly in the production and regional distribution of drinking water, Mexican adobo (Mexican style barbecue sauce) hot sauce and still beverages. Of these, the water purification and adobo segments continue to the present. Having complied with FDA regulations, the adobo product was briefly exported to the Southern California area.

In 2000, Exim Alimentos de Sonora, SA de CV was founded by family members and an aseptic filling line was purchased, imported and installed in Navojoa with the original intent to manufacture juice-based aseptic drinks. Eventually, the plant was started with the production of private label tomato sauce for one of the two largest national supermarket chains. To the present, private label manufacturing continues to be our main line of business.
Our background with food (and grain) processing can be traced back to 1977, when Mr. Paulino Quiros Mendoza and other partners started Impulsora Popular de Semillas, SA to buy, collect, clean, pack and export white, natural sesame seed from the northwest and pacific regions of Mexico. Due to the high quality of sesame from the region, Impulsora´s products were distributed in several world markets such as the USA, the Middle East and Asia. Currently we´re not involved in this business but continue to explore opportunities.
